“…RHDV2 was confirmed in a feral domestic rabbit in Alameda County and in wild jackrabbits in Marin, Solano, and Yolo Counties in October 2022. It had been previously confirmed in wild rabbits in Mono and Inyo Counties in July 2022 and in Riverside, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Stanislaus counties during June 2022. Previous detections were confirmed in domestic rabbits in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Luis Obispo and Mendocino Counties in June 2022…”
RHD has been detected in domestic and/or wild rabbits in 19 California counties & is considered endemic in those counties.
